Advocacy Update: Early Childhood Education
Early childhood education shapes the future of children, families and entire communities — yet for many Dallas County families, quality care for infants and toddlers remains financially out of reach.
In response, local leaders and organizations are working toward the creation of a Dallas County Children’s Fund, a proposed public investment to help expand access to affordable, high-quality early childhood education for children ages 0–3. Before voters can decide on the proposal, the Dallas County Commissioners Court must first place it on the November 2026 ballot.
Temple Emanu-El is engaged in this work through Dallas Area Interfaith (DAI), a coalition of faith communities and organizations addressing issues impacting families across North Texas. Alongside our community partners, we are advocating for the Children’s Fund to be placed on the ballot so Dallas County voters can decide whether to invest in early childhood education and care for local families.
As part of this effort, Temple Emanu-El is working to collect 500 signatures in support of placing the proposal on the ballot. We invite you to add your name in support of this effort and learn more about why it matters.
