Volunteer at Temple

Whether you’re welcoming guests on Shabbat, supporting our students, helping behind the scenes at a special event or serving our broader community through a social justice initiative, there are countless ways to make a difference at Temple Emanu-El.

Volunteering is one of the most meaningful ways to build relationships, share your talents and strengthen our sacred community. Whether you have a few hours to give each month or are looking for an ongoing commitment, there are opportunities for every interest, schedule and skill set.

Volunteer Opportunities

Help create the welcoming, vibrant community that makes Temple Emanu-El feel like home. Volunteers support nearly every aspect of congregational life, including:

Hospitality: Welcome and support members, guests and visitors.
Spiritual Life: Support worship services, rituals and sacred experiences.
Social Justice: Help advance Temple-led advocacy, education and service initiatives.
Education & Youth: Support lifelong learning through our Early Childhood Education Center (ECEC), Karla & Larry Steinberg Center for Jewish Learning (CJL), youth programs and educational events.
Temple Operations: Assist with special events, administrative projects and other behind-the-scenes opportunities that help Temple thrive.

Social Justice

Temple Emanu-El’s commitment to repairing the world extends beyond our walls. Throughout the year, we offer opportunities to volunteer alongside community partners through service projects, advocacy initiatives, donation drives and hands-on events that support our neighbors across Dallas.

Whether you’re passionate about addressing hunger, supporting refugees, caring for the environment, advancing equity or responding to emerging community needs, there are meaningful ways to get involved.
