Our Voting Initiative at Temple

As Reform Jews, we are summoned to engage with our community and to sanctify the sacred gift of freedom by expressing gratitude and affirming the responsibility freedom places on us. In this spirit, our tradition teaches that the process of choosing leaders is not a privilege but a collective responsibility. Temple will continue to bring these values to life in future elections.

Temple has embarked on a nonpartisan civic engagement campaign—Temple Votes—to achieve 100% voting by every member of Temple eligible to vote. Through a variety of means, including one-on-one outreach to Temple members, we will educate, register, engage, motivate, prepare, and enable 100% of voting age Temple members to vote.

The State of Texas has new requirements for ID at the polls. Click here for a list of acceptable photo IDs and information on how to vote even if you don’t have one of the listed photo IDs.
