Hebrew for Grades 3-6

Hebrew learning is a key part of the learning experience for students in 3rd–6th grade, building the foundation for reading Hebrew words, prayers, and preparing for B’nai Mitzvah. Students learn in small groups, allowing for more personalized attention and meaningful progress. Enrollment in both Hebrew and Judaica is required for B’nai Mitzvah eligibility (unless enrolled in a Jewish day school). With multiple scheduling options, our Hebrew program is designed to be flexible and work with your family’s routine. Hebrew is included in 3rd-6th grade tuition.

Flexible Hebrew Options

Families can choose from four small-group Hebrew options:

  • Sunday Hebrew: Follows Judaica class at Temple, ending at 12:30 p.m.; groups of 12–15 students for 1 hour.

  • Virtual Hebrew: Meets online Monday–Thursday, between 3:30–7 p.m.; small groups of 3–6 students for 45 minutes.
  • Midweek In-Person Hebrew: Held at home/school sites Tuesday–Thursday, between 3:30–6:30 p.m.; small groups of 3–7 students for 45 minutes.
