Tomatoes, Peppers and Eggplant… Oh My!
An Update: Jill Stone Community Garden at Temple
We had some super work days and everyone needs to know how much they are appreciated! We ended the month with 573.5 lbs., with our terrific Children’s Garden contributing 135 lbs. of that total! Year to date we have donated 1,585 lbs. of fresh produce to the Vickery Meadow Food Pantry.
We continue to improve the garden and are headlong into summer gardening. We need tomato cages, among other things. If you have any to donate, drop them by the garden anytime. Each tomato, pepper and eggplant needs “personal space” and support since it’s always a long hot summer—and who doesn’t need support?
The garden has its own tax-free wish list on Amazon. Look for the tomato supports. They can be ordered and sent directly to Kay McInnis at: 9924 Wood Forest Dr, 75243.
Thank you, as always, for your support and participation.
