Feb 18, 2026 / 1 Adar, 5786

February is Jewish Disability Awareness, Acceptance and Inclusion Month

Established in 2009, this special recognition month unites Jewish communities around the world to raise awareness, champion accessibility, and affirm the right of every person to be fully welcomed and included in all aspects of Jewish life.

In honor of JDAAIM, Temple invites you to get involved in the opportunities below and explore the resources that help us build a more inclusive community together.

Attend the Community All Abilities Party

Join Temple and our community partners this Sunday at 3 p.m. at Shearith Israel for an afternoon of joy, connection and celebration for people of all ages and abilities. Learn more and register here.

Support Noya’s Bears

Through March 4, Temple is collecting stuffed animals in memory of Noya Dan, a 13-year-old girl on the autism spectrum who was murdered on October 7, 2023, in Kibbutz Nir Oz.

Bring a new stuffed lovey to Temple or purchase one from this wishlist. All collected items will be donated to children and adults with disabilities throughout the Dallas community.

We are also seeking volunteers to write notes, help package the stuffed animals and assist with deliveries. Sign up for a volunteer slot here.
