Henry D. Schlinger Ethics Symposium 2021: Pandemic Perspectives

Nov 05, 2021 / 1 Kislev, 5782

On November 4, we had the privilege of having Michael Hinojosa, Ph.D., Superintendent, Dallas Independent School District; Sarina Israel, Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts; Adam Leybovich-Glikin, Highland Park High School; and Susan Sugerman, M.D., Girls to Women Health and Wellness and Young Men’s Health and Wellness at our Henry D. Schlinger Ethics Symposium. These experts and courageous students made up the panel that explored the most devastating public health crisis of our time, vaccines for children under 12, mask mandates and boosters, and how you can make the best decisions for yourself and your family. The symposium “[brought] a window to what our students have felt” in the past year and allowed them to share their courage with us. Michael Hinojosa, Ph.D and Dr. Susan Sugarman shared how the pandemic has challenged them in their leadership positions in their community.
