February 6, 2026: Shabbat Evening Service with Rabbi Dalia Marx

Temple will welcome Rabbi Dalia Marx of Jerusalem as the scholar-in-residence for a beit midrash, an exciting house of study. Rabbi Marx will teach at three different times over Shabbat, offering insights into her specialties of liturgy, gender, ritual and the Jewish calendar.

“Am I Really Commanded by God to Do This?”
In her sermon, Rabbi Marx will explore the concept of commanded-ness in a modern Reform context. “What really matters is not how many mitzvot we observe, but whether we see ourselves as commanded, whether by God, our conscience, or community or our moral values.”
