Are you interested in examining your character through a Jewish lens? Then a new Mussar va’ad, or small group class, might be for you. Congregant Michael Selz, a longtime Mussar practitioner and facilitator, invites you to an information session to learn more about this intro course to Mussar launching this October.
Mussar is a modern interpretation of a centuries-old Jewish practice of self-reflection and growth through the exploration of middot, or soul traits. Mussar practitioners attend the va’ad every other week. The in-between weeks are reserved for chevrutah, or partner, study. Michael will be using the curriculum, “Seeking Everyday Holiness,” provided by The Mussar Institute.
