Are you interested in examining your character through a Jewish lens? Then a new Mussar va’ad, or small group class, might be for you. Congregant Michael Selz, a longtime Mussar practitioner and facilitator, invites you to join him in this intro course to Mussar launching this October, using the curriculum, “Seeking Everyday Holiness,” provided by The Mussar Institute.
Mussar is a modern interpretation of a centuries-old Jewish practice of self-reflection and growth through the exploration of middot, or soul traits. Mussar practitioners attend the va’ad every other week. The in-between weeks are reserved for chevrutah, or partner, study.
