Come to meet the Sofer (Torah scribe), learn about his work caring for our 13 Torah scrolls and explore the history of our newly repaired Czech Torah scroll that survived the Holocaust and has had a home at Temple Emanu-El since 1976. Members of Shomrei Torah, our volunteer Torah caretakers, will answer questions and talk about their sacred service. Come early or stay after to schmooze and have coffee!
