Celebrate Yom HaAtzmaut with Cantor in the Kitch as we gather for an evening of vibrant flavors, shared stories and joyful connection in honor of Israel’s 78th birthday.

Inspired by the energy of Israeli markets, the evening begins with a “nish nush” of dips, salatim, appetizers and limonana at 5:30 p.m., followed by learning and a live cooking demonstration at 6 p.m., and and a seated dinner featuring a vegetable-forward, shuk-inspired menu alongside bold Mizrahi fish and chicken dishes.

We’re excited to welcome special guest Chef Shimi Aaron, the “Babka King” of Los Angeles, whose dishes reflect his family’s Egyptian, Iraqi and Yemeni heritage. Our community sh’lichah, Aya Margalit, will also share her cousin Bar Kuperstein’s moving music video about his time in captivity.

Come celebrate, connect and savor the flavors of Israeli fusion. See you in the kitch!
