Anticipating a messiah has been a feature of Judaism for centuries while worshipping a messiah has become the central feature of Christianity. But where did this idea of a messiah come from? Enjoy a lunch with Rabbi Josh Garroway and expand your knowledge and understanding of the messiah and how Jewish conceptions of it have changed through the years.

Rabbi Garroway Dean, Los Angeles Campus Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion, is the author of two books and an expert in Judaeo-Christian studies. His rabbinate is dedicated to creating an appreciation of Jewish history, texts and ideas. He and his wife, Kristine, live in Pasadena, California, with their three children.
