High Holy Days with ATiD

ATiD is a Temple Emanu-El community of 20-and-30-somethings from diverse Jewish backgrounds and perspectives. We would love to have you join us for any of the following events!

If you have questions about any of these events, or ATiD in general, please contact Amy Hartley

Talmud Tuesday
Tuesday, August 10 at 7:30 p.m., The Family Engagement Space
We often think of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur as the most important holidays of the year without considering the why or how. What makes the high holidays so special? Rabbi Dan and Eli will lead a conversation about different prayer books, extra Torah readings, white robes, and everything else you’ve always wondered about the holiest days of the year.
Register in advance.

Round Challah Baking with Chef Eli Cohn-Wein
Tuesday, August 17 at 7:30 p.m., Pollman Hall
Every week, we bake our challah in the same loaf shape. On the high holidays, we bake them into rounds. Come learn how to shape and braid a round challah, and about the history and meaning of different challah shapes. Everyone will go home with a challah of their own!
