Our Partners

At the Union for Reform Judaism

Temple Emanu-El YL+E recognizes that we need many partners in order to develop strong, relational, educated and ethical Jewish leaders of the future. We leverage those partnerships to bring various and unique programs to our participants and their families — summer camp; social justice experiences; teen travel opportunities and more!

URJ Greene Family Camp brings the excitement of immersive Jewish experiences to kids, teens and adults across North America and beyond, strengthening their Jewish identity and instilling Reform Jewish values in the next generation. Temple Emanu-El regularly sends between 80-100 kids per summer to GFC! Please visit greene.org for more information.

URJ’s 6 Points foster specific skills and interests while still offering that summer magic our regional camps have provided for more than 60 years. Every URJ camp transforms lives and cultivates lifelong friendships – inspired by the traditions and values of living Reform Judaism. URJ 6 Points camps include 6 Points Sci-Tech, 6 Points Creative Arts Academy, and 6 Points Sports Academy. More information can be found at urjyouth.org/6points/.

For more than 50 years, the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism (or “the RAC”) has been the hub of Jewish social justice and legislative activity in Washington, D.C.,mobilizing the Reform Jewish community on legislative and social concerns. Annually, the Temple Emanu-El YL+E Confirmation Class (10th Grade) participates in the RAC L’Taken Social Justice Seminars. Teens are exposed to a variety of public policy issues and explore the Jewish values that inform the Reform Movement’s advocacy around these issues. Teens then meet with US Senators and Representatives to present prepared policy speeches on the issues. Please visit rac.org for more information.

NFTY (North American Federation of Temple Youth) is a movement that builds strong, welcoming, inspired communities through teen-powered engagement. NFTY values tikkun olam, personal growth, youth empowerment and deep connections, all rooted in Reform Judaism. NFTY offers activities within the NFTY Texas-Oklahoma region (TOR), allowing teens from across these two states to interact through trips, retreats, camp experiences and more. Please visit nfty.org for more information.
