She believes the more prepared you are\, the better your perinatal experience will be. We will start our time together with a brief talk about more general themes that can arise from the end of pregnancy through the 4th trimester such as writing birth preferences\, managing expectations and adjusting to life postpartum. Lucy will then facilitate a group discussion based on more specific questions from participants. Come with questions\, thoughts or simply to connect with other expecting Jewish parents during this exciting\, challenging and incredibly unique time. This event is for expected mothers or people that just had a baby within the past 2 months.

Goin’ to the Chuppah is open to any couple who plans to create a Jewish home. Jewish\, interfaith\, LGBTQ – all are welcome! Goin’ to the Chuppah is a registered TwoTogether in Texas provider which means that couples being married in Texas are eligible for a substantial discount on their marriage license for completing the class. We strongly encourage couples to attend at least 3 of the 4 sessions so that you can form relationships with the other participants. If you need to attend a weekday class via Zoom\, it will be made available.

DESCRIPTION:All classes are from 7:30-8:45 p.m. and locations for specific dates will be confirmed at a later date (in-person at Temple/Zoom/congregant home). Goin’ to the Chuppah is open to any couple who plans to create a Jewish home. Jewish\, interfaith\, LGBTQ – all are welcome! Goin’ to the Chuppah is a registered TwoTogether in Texas provider which means that couples being married in Texas are eligible for a substantial discount on their marriage license for completing the class. We strongly encourage couples to attend at least 3 of the 4 sessions so that you can form relationships with the other participants. If you need to attend a weekday class via Zoom\, it will be made available.
