DESCRIPTION:Join us for Yom Tzedek\, a day of learning\, action and community for all ages as we recommit to social justice together. Through conversation\, hands-on service and partnerships with local organizations\, we’ll focus on ways to make a difference right here in our community. \nAs Rabbi Kimberly Herzog Cohen shared\, “Yom Tzedek is one essential faithful response to a sense of overwhelm\, with a focus on what we can do right here in our own backyard.” \nHighlights of the Day\n•9 a.m.-2 p.m. – Brotherhood Blood Drive with Carter Blood Care\n•11 a.m. – Family service project and pizza lunch\n•1 p.m. – Opening assembly with featured speaker Robert Wilonsky of the Dallas Morning News\, Temple clergy\, Women of Reform Judaism and community partners\n•2-4 p.m. – Breakout sessions and hands-on service projects with community partners\, learn more below
