Toward Healing: Resources for Talking About Acts of Hate

Toward Healing: Resources for Talking About Acts of Hate

• by Livia Bernstein

We join with you in expressing our profound relief and gratitude to God for the safety of the hostages from Congregation Beth Israel in Colleyville, and for the skilled first responders and loving community whose prayers sustained those trapped inside. While the ordeal may be over, the hard work of eliminating hate crimes and overcoming antisemitism continues. Temple is here to support you and to embark together on a path toward wholeness. We hope that these resources help you to express your feelings on the situation, allow you to put your mental health first and answer some questions you may have on how to talk about these acts of hate with your children and loved ones. As always, Temple staff and clergy are always here and available to you. Click here to connect with a member of our clergy or contact Meredith Pryzant, Director of Member Support.

A Message from Rabbi David Stern
These words of hope, relief and gratitude were shared in an email to the congregation on Sunday with more information on Temple's response to Saturday's events in Colleyville. View the email sent here
