ECEC Transformed: Experiential outdoor education

Just as the world and our country are experiencing deep transformations in health, culture and values, our Early Childhood Education Center (ECEC) underwent the transformative experience of taking learning outside. Inherent was the importance of incorporating the Jewish value Lehitarerut, an awakening, to transform the school into a safe space under the restraints of Covid-19, while not permitting Covid-19 to define the school itself.

The benefits of engaging children in memorably relevant learning, immersing them in physically active, outdoor education, and providing them with authentic, contextualized opportunities to extend classroom-based learning is beyond a gift to our children. Watch the video.

Camp Emanu-El is an opportunity for children to have creative and dynamic summer experiences. We have a deep belief in the strength of children’s potential for learning, exploring, and entering into relationships with their peers, teachers, and environment. Registration starts on February 1.
