Vickery Meadow Food Pantry

We helped establish and continue to staff, with volunteers, a food pantry for residents of the Vickery Meadow neighborhood. This effort is sponsored by Temple Emanu-El, in partnership with Jewish Family Service and with assistance from the Dallas Police Department. The pantry sites are located in the heart of the Vickery Meadow Improvement District. On the third Wednesday of every month the Oasis Church is a food distribution site and on the last Saturday of every month (in conjunction with our Fun Saturday program) the Jill Stone School is a food distribution site. Temple Emanu-El continues to work hard to shape the direction of the pantry program, providing volunteers as well as supplemental food and paper goods and toiletries (not available for purchase on food stamps).
