Vickery Meadow Food Pantry

There’s a new food pantry for residents of the Vickery Improvement District. Sponsored by Temple Emanu-El, in partnership with Jewish Family Service and with assistance from the Dallas Police Department, the pantry is a satellite distribution center of Jewish Family Service. It is located in the heart of the Vickery Meadow Improvement District, in space provided by Iglesia Oasis on Fair Oaks. Temple Emanu-El continues to work hard to shape the direction of the pantry program, providing volunteers as well as supplemental food and paper goods and toiletries (not available for purchase on food stamps).

In conjunction with Fun Saturdays, we've now added a second food pantry distrubution site at Jill Stone School one Saturday afternoon per month from 2 - 4:30.

For more information, please contact Myra Fischel at 972.490.5252 or drop a note to Rabbi Rachel Goldenberg at rabbirg@tedallas.org.

We Still Need Your Help! Vickery Meadow needs a few volunteers (bilingual, in particular) for the third Wednesday of each month from 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. and 4:00-6:00 p.m. to distribute food to needy families. Please call Rhona Streit at 972.720.9229 to get involved. This is a great volunteer opportunity—just a few hours one afternoon a month!
