The URJ is accepting donations for tornado relief efforts and will work closely with our congregations in the affected region to assure that funds are used where they are needed most. Earthquake relief fund
At this time there are two ways that you can reach out to help those affected by the tragedy that has struck Japan.
In response to the tragic devastation of the earthquake and tsunami that struck Japan on March 11, 2011, the Union for Reform Judaism has partnered with fellow North American Jewish organizations in the Jewish Coalition for Disaster Relief to open the:
Japan Earthquake Relief Fund

IF you prefer to mail a check to the above fund, the address is:
JDC - Jewish Coalition for Disaster Relief
P.O. Box 530
132 East 43rd St.
New York, NY, 10017
Through this coordinated and unified Jewish response, donations will be collected and distributed to those most in need. If you would like to make a contribution or if you have any questions about this fund, please contact: info@jcdr.org.
The American Jewish World Service does not work directly in Japan but
is continuing to monitor the situation closely in case of potential impact on its grantees in other parts of the world. Donations of support for the emergency in Japan may be sent to the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee or the Jewish Federations of North America. Links to those organizations can be found by visiting the AJWS home page at www.ajws.org and clicking on either link. Mailing addresses can be found on each of the organizational links.
