Fun Saturday

This is the last Fun Saturday until the Fall!

Come for fun at Fun Saturdays at Jill Stone Elementary. Make Temple Emanu-El’s adopted neighborhood, the Vickery Meadow community, part of your family’s Shabbat afternoon.

Fun Saturdays are a great way for families to volunteer together. This wonderful program enables children of all ages to learn the benefits of giving back to a community in our neighborhood.

We play with the children while their parents attend parenting workshops facilitated by the principal. Activities include board games, arts and crafts, card games, unstructured gym time, playground time and snacks.

The Temple Emanu-El-sponsored food pantry benefits some of our Jill Stone families. The food pantry, which is open on Wednesday, is always in need of paper grocery bags with handles.

The time commitment for volunteers is from 1:30-4 p.m. Community service hours will be awarded at the end of the event. (The children are in our care from 2-4 p.m. We use the first 30 minutes to set up and have a short D’var Torah.)

Jill Stone Elementary is located at Vickery Meadow, 6606 Ridgecrest Road, at Ridgecrest and Eastridge.
