"Much Torah have I learned from my teachers, more from my peers, and from my students the most of all." — Talmud Makkot 10a

Welcome to the World of Youth
Temple Emanu-El takes great pride in its youth department. Its primary goal is to foster social, spiritual, and educational programming for the children of Temple Emanu-El. The diverse programs help to create an atmosphere that is stimulating and conducive to the development of strong positive bonds among the children, the Temple and Jewish tradition. All youth activities should give children the opportunity to develop and deepen their connections to other Jewish youth and to Judaism itself. As a result we hope to educate and develop future Jewish leaders.

People Served by Youth Programs
Youth Programming is a journey through which students, grades three through twelve, will travel from year to year, continually adding to their own Jewish discovery in terms of their educational, enrichment and social development. The Youth Committee has been diligent in creating Youth Programs for all ages.

Temple Emanu-El’s youth department is a partnership between our youth, adults, staff and clergy.
