What Does the Couples Club Do?

Temple Emanu-El's Couples Club is a social club to meet new friends and reacquaint with old friends. There are six or seven socials a year, and there are approximately four Steering Committee meetings in order to discuss and evaluate the previous socials and discuss any old and new business to present the General Membership. The Steering Committee normally meets in a restaurant to have dinner together before their meeting. Any member of the “Club” is welcome and encouraged to attend the Steering Committee meetings. Each member couple is also asked to serve on one social planning committee each year. One social is the installation of officers and is a gala dinner/dance event in March.

In addition to having socials, the Couples Club also supports Temple Emanu-El by contributing financially to its Annual Campaign. Temple Emanu-El does provide much support at no charge to the "Club."
