What Do Caring Congregation Volunteers Do?

Make hospital visits, Bikkur Cholim, and visit nursing homes and "shut-ins."
Senior Services and Mah Jongg: volunteers organize Shabbat/Havdallah services, direct cooking classes and mah jongg games for our aging members.
Make bereavement calls, Nechama, and send condolence cards.
Make Caring Calls, and send Caring Cards.
Answer Careline, the after-hours emergency line to get in touch witha member of the clergy or make other referrals.
Send birthday cards to Seniors.
Knit baby booties for Temple newborns.
Deliver meals prepared by different Temple groups to congregants in crisis or need.
