Tu B’Shvat Seder and Pot Luck Luncheon

Saturday, Feb. 7 at noon in Linz Hall

We will mark Tu B’Shvat, the “new year of the trees,” on Saturday, February 7th, 2009. The morning will begin with Shabbat worship services in Lefkowitz Chapel where congregants who have recently returned from their December trip to Israel will share their experiences with us. After services, we will come together in Linz Hall for a special Tu B’Shvat pot luck Seder.

We are asking that you please bring a dairy or parve dish to our celebration: according to the first initial of your last name: A-J vegetable dish (including rice, pasta & kasha), K-T: salads (including fruit, egg, tuna, & greens), and U-Z: desserts. In your dish of choice, please include at least one of the following items, as they represent one of the Seven Species: Wheat, Barley, Grapes (or raisins), Figs, Pomegranates, Olives or Dates. You may also want to include almonds, pistachios, apricots, or berries.

Please email your RSVP to Vicki Redden at andyfanone@aol.com
